Resume

I am Currently the Manager of Technical Services for the SAP Center in San Jose.  Our primary responsibility lies with the San Jose Sharks of the NHL, but we host the AHL affiliate the San Jose Barracuda as well as 30-40 concerts a year, and the usual family events.  This year the SAP Center has also hosted the 2017 Men's Basketball Division I Sweet Sixteen and the US Figure Skating National Championships

Prior to moving to San Jose I worked as the the Production Manager for Global Spectrum, the managing partner of the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, IA.  I worked for Global Spectrum for over 10 years and took care of the; audio, video, networking, communication and scoring needs for the concerts, trade shows and sporting events inside of Wells Fargo Arena, Hy-Vee Hall and Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center.

I started working with the facility in the fall of 2007 as a media and gameday intern for the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League.  After the conclusion of my internship I began working part-time as an IT Tech installing internet and phone lines for trades shows and concerts.  In the fall of 2008 I was given an opportunity to return to hockey with the newly rebranded Iowa Chops.  During the 2008-2009 season I served as the Chops Game Entertainment and Customer Service Manager.  I designed all in arena aspects of the game presentation. In addition, I also managed a number of the social media outlets including; twitter, facebook, youtube and blogger.  Other duties included; assigning leads to the sales staff, handled inside sales calls and contacts from email and web leads, as well as providing customer support on open accounts needing attention on payment or seating disputes.

Following the 2008-2009 season the Chops were relocated to Austin, Texas as the Texas Stars.  I quickly returned to part time work with Global Spectrum as an IT Technician and in the Fall of 2009 was promoted to full-time.  In the summer of 2013 I was promoted to Production Manager for Wells Fargo Arena and the Iowa Events Center.

Over the last several years I have been given the chance to continue my development as a technician and also engage in a number of cross departmental projects with marketing and sales.  Many of which you can see in great depth by clicking on the Projects tab at the top of the page.
